Graduate Profile
Sherifa Emad is one of the many graduates
that we have good reason to be proud of.
Sherifa joined MHS in Nursery School and she
graduated with her Thanawaya Amma exams in
July 2001 with 92.4%.This is only one of her
achievements.
Sherifa is now at the American University in
Cairo studying for a Bachelor of Arts,
majoring in Political science with a minor
in Mass Communication and specializing in
international relations and journalism.
Whilst she was with us she travelled to
England to attend an English summer school
and also to Sweden for a life link
conference representing the school and her
country; she says these were life changing
events. Here are some of her comments about
school life:
The biggest turning point in my life was in
Thanawaya Amma and First Secondary.
I had great teachers who made the lessons
interesting and encouraged us to really
participate in classes.
They loved and cared for us and were always
there for us when we needed extra help.
Through this my English improved and made me
capable of entering the TOFEL and ALPET
EXAMS.
Also my French improved greatly and these
improvements have opened up my opportunities
a lot. Manor House has affected my whole
life for the better.
Now I am a student who has learned to speak
her mind whilst still being polite and
without hurting others.
Sherifa continues to be a bright and
enthusiastic student with a thirst for
knowledge; the list of things she wants to
learn more about is extremely long.
No doubt she will be as much of a credit to
the AUC as she was to us.
